Our clients for this project were looking for a special touch for their retirement home in Glenreagh, northwest of Coffs Harbour. The brief was to design and build a feature roof frame with glazed gables that would form the centrepiece of the home.
Our clients for this project were referred to us by one of our suppliers’ Coach House Timbers. They were in the midst of designing a large residential project in the southern highlands and were looking for an internal architectural feature that could match the scale of this new home.
The clients on this project contacted us after seeing one of our projects in a nearby village. They fell in love with the timber, joinery and craftsmanship and were set on incorporating something similar into their proposed new gallery. We introduced the clients and their builder Preston and Sons, to one of our preferred building designers Longhouse Homes.
This project was commissioned by Ken and Ruth, owner builder’s who wanted a barn-style accommodation on their stunning property in the Brisbane hinterland. Working closely with the client to get the details, style and proportions looking just right, our in-house design team got busy designing a stunning traditional timber barn style frame.
Located amongst the vineyards in Mudgee, NSW, the Black Shed was designed to be a small but luxurious part-time residence for visiting family, as well as for an occasional short-stay rental. With a northerly aspect and a view over the property, it enjoys a charming and tranquil setting.We hand-built a simple heavy timber post and beam structure with exposed feature trusses for the main living area to give a rustic and luxurious feel to the interior.
